Get Good at Asking Why!

Ask to Learn!
Ask to Learn!

We don’t have to be the most intelligent person in the room, but we must be willing to question the status quo. Challenging existing thought processes and methods isn’t about resisting change but pursuing a deeper understanding. When we grasp concepts clearly, we empower ourselves and others to embrace new ideas and adapt our behaviors effectively.

Consider how children constantly ask, “Why? Why?” They are onto something valuable. One of the reasons I loved debating with my best friend was her relentless pursuit of “Why?” questions. Why do you believe this? Why is this the best option for you? Why do you think you can or cannot achieve this? This kind of inquiry is essential.

We’ve all heard that to move forward, we need to understand our “Why.” Let’s embrace the courage to ask questions, seek clarity, and expand our perspectives. Eileen Gonzalez, CPCC
